How do you save money on company collaboration and create a better experience for your user base?

This was the question Pierce faced when tackling a huge migration and redesign process for a large global chemical provider. Using Microsoft SharePoint, the Pierce Team was tasked with moving over 800 databases and hundreds of collaboration points from the Lotus Notes framework to SharePoint. The conversion also required creating many custom Microsoft .net applications and SQL Server integration activities. Pierce saved the client money by accomplishing 95% of the work offshore. The Pierce Team took a systematic approach to migration creating repeatable processes and utilizing our SharePoint Center of Excellence.

The Center of Excellence, an essential part of our global team, offers constant training, process improvement, and testing to ensure efficiency. Our team developed a reusable code base and framework for replicating the processes used in Lotus into SharePoint. We worked with the client business-owners to create a new modern and usable design within the SharePoint design structure. Our solution included moving the software to a cloud based infrastructure, which helped with saving resources, creating ease in scalability, and improving performance.
